Hole 18
The finishing hole presents a risk reward option off the tee. A separate fairway sits on the left side of the hole. To reach it you will have to carry your tee shot over a pond and a brush creek, a dangerous play, but one that if successful leaves a short iron into the green.
The safe play is down the left which leaves a mid to long iron into the green. Your second shot is uphill and into a natural amphitheater, and a green surrounded by bunkers. Par here is a great finish.
Hole 17
A short par 4 with a generous fairway, presents a great birdie opportunity. Two deep bunkers protect the green from any who choose to challenge the green on their tee shot. Be careful as the green here has several severe slopes.
Any careless shot into this green could turn into a difficult thirty footer.
Hole 16
A downhill par 3, is defined by a creek that runs in front and right of the green. This creek comes into play if your tee shot misses right of the green.
With severe undulation surrounding the green and tricky bunkers long, an up and down here is difficult. However, with proper club selection you will have a great chance at birdie.
Hole 15
A long, uphill left to right par 4 that slopes toward the hazard along the right side of the hole. To avoid going in the hazard, aim your tee shot at the grass bunkers on top of the hill.
The green has a shaved slope on the left that filters shots back toward the middle of the green. Any shot short and right will find one of two deep bunkers that protect the green.
Hole 14
A scenic 3 shot par 5 with a creek that divides the fairway, be careful not to bite off too much on your tee shot. An accurate lay-up will be necessary to leave you with an ideal approach shot. The green is elevated and has a large false front. Play it safe here and keep your approach shot on the right side of the green.
Hole 13
A narrow par 3, it is also the longest of the par 3’s. A long iron or even a wood will be necessary to reach this green. Avoid the grass bunkers to the right of the green by playing your tee shot to the middle of the green. Par here should leave you smiling.
Hole 12
The twelfth begins a stretch of four difficult holes. Aim your tee shot at the left edge of the fairway bunker. An accurate second shot will be need as the green has steep drop offs on three sides making any up and down difficult. Once on the green you will find this green is one of the most challenging and severe on the golf course.
Hole 11
Hole eleven is the shortest of the par 5’s. A long tee shot will give you a chance of reaching the green in two. But, be wary of the sharp drop off right and long that surround the smallest green at Firekeeper.
Hole 10
Trouble lurks everywhere on this hole. A sharp right to left dogleg par 4 from an elevated tee shot presents one of the more challenging drives at Firekeeper. The ideal tee shot should be played at the 150 post with a slight draw. A creek guards the entire front side of the green, error towards the back middle of the green.
